Meet The Team

Danielle is a follower of Jesus Christ and wife to an amazing husband. She is also the Portals Operations Manager, streamlining the user experience and developing processes that simplify the on-boarding experience for new families and schools.  Receiving her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bethel University, she spent 5 years working in Human Resource Management before starting with Portals in 2023.

Mandy was the learning facilitator of the Portals Pilot program, serving the families and synthesizing and supplementing curriculum materials. She is now piloting a tutoring services program and creating supplemental resources to support the learning experience. She graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Communication Arts and Literature and Spanish education. She taught middle school English for two years in the public schools, before God called her to take a leap of faith and seek His best for teaching and learning.

Catherine manages all of Portals' social media accounts and content.

Greg is a husband and father of four homeschooled children. He is currently pastor of Calvary Chapel Enid and "Digital Delivery Dude" for Portals. Greg has designed and continues to develop the digital interface that families and schools use to receive and customize the lesson plans they use to teach their students.

Hello from Iowa! My name is Kari Hessing. First of all, my whole heart belongs to Jesus, and I am eternally grateful that He blessed me with four beautiful children and one loving husband! This is our eighth-year homeschooling and even when it isn’t easy, I love it! When I was young, I wanted to grow up and become a mama and a teacher and God surprised me with a calling that allows me to be both. My professional history includes sales, customer service, and working in the education field with children in many different grade levels and being a stay-at-home mama before the Lord showed me this path to Portals. I am thrilled that I get to work with the best team and help other families achieve their homeschooling goals!"

Stephanie is a pastor's wife and mom of two. She homeschooled her children for 16 years. Homeschooling was one of the biggest blessings for her family. The joy of being able to raise kids to follow Christ is such a privilege. Her greatest passion is following Jesus and being His servant. She is currently working as the elementary lesson planner for Portals. She loves creating projects that students look forward to doing.

I am a mother of four and wife to an amazing husband. My background is in education. I received my undergrad in Elementary education through Colorado Christian University. After working for two years, I decided to go back for my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. God provided many opportunities to work among different age groups and in different schools . We moved to MN in 2000. After being blessed with our eldest child in 2001, the Lord allowed us to be introduced to homeschooling . We fell in love with it. Our two sons have graduated from home schooling. We have two other children still homeschooling. We consider it a blessing and privilege to have been able to educate our own children with the values and beliefs that we hold so dear.
